Penentuan kondisi optimum penjerapan ekstrak etanol bunga dadap merah (Erythrina cristagalli L.) oleh kertas saring

Bunga dadap merah (Erythrina cristagalli L.) berpotensi untuk dijadikan indikator asam basa alami. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk mengetahui kondisi optimum penjerapan ekstrak etanol bunga dadap merah oleh kertas saring. Ekstrak etanol bunga dadap merah diperoleh dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 95% selama 24 jam. Larutan indikator kemudian diuji perubahan warnanya pada larutan pH 1-14. Larutan indikator selanjutnya digunakan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum (waktu kontak, MLR, suhu dan konsentrasi) penjerapan ekstrak oleh kertas saring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjerapan ekstrak etanol bunga dadap merah oleh kertas saring meningkat seiring meningkatnya waktu kontak, material to liquor ratio (MLR), suhu dan konsentrasi. Waktu kontak dan suhu optimum pada penelitian ini adalah 60 menit dan 78°C, sementara MLR dan konsentrasi maksimum diperoleh pada 1:150 dan pemekatan 6×.
