Establishment and Early Development
Jurnal Literasi Pendidikan Fisika (JLPF) is published by the Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mulawarman.
The journal released its first issue in November 2019, with the aim of providing a scholarly platform for research in physics education, scientific literacy, science learning, and applied studies in education.
Open Access Commitment
From its inception, JLPF has been committed to providing fully open access to its scholarly publications. Since 2020, all published articles have been made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse published content provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original authors.
Development Milestones
2020–2021
Refinement of the Aim & Scope, improvement of the Author Guidelines, and publication of the Open Access Statement and Publication Ethics pages.
2022
Strengthening of the peer-review process, including the implementation of a double-blind review system and the addition of external reviewers.
2023
Improvements to the editorial workflow, enhancement of article metadata quality, and assignment of DOIs to published articles.
2024
Optimization of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) interface, improvement of metadata consistency, and standardization of manuscript formatting.
2025
Implementation of an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support sustainable publication, along with updates to transparency, licensing, and publication ethics in alignment with international open-access and scholarly publishing standards.
Current Publication
JLPF currently publishes two issues per year and remains committed to providing high-quality, credible, and fully open-access scholarly publications in Physics Education and Physics.
The journal continues to strengthen its editorial management, peer-review procedures, publication ethics, digital preservation, metadata quality, and open-access practices in accordance with established scholarly publishing standards.
Continuing Commitment
JLPF continues to develop its editorial and publishing practices to support the dissemination of rigorous, original, and accessible research while maintaining academic integrity and ethical standards.
