About the Journal

FaviconJurnal Literasi Pendidikan Fisika (JLPF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that focuses on research and scholarly studies in the field of science education, with particular emphasis on physics education. The journal serves as a forum for disseminating original research findings and critical literature reviews that advance scientific literacy, pedagogical practices, and conceptual understanding in physics education across various educational levels.

JLPF welcomes manuscripts that contribute to the development of educational theories, analytical frameworks, instructional models, and their practical implementation in physics and science learning contexts. By promoting rigorous academic discourse, the journal aims to support educators, researchers, and practitioners in enhancing the quality of physics education and educational literacy.

The journal is published twice annually, in April and November, by the Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mulawarman University.

Call For Manuscript

We publish 2 issues per year (April and November), therefore, we would like to invite you to submit your paper to Jurnal Literasi Pendidikan Fisika (JLPF).

JLPF specifically focuses on research related to the following:

  1. Innovation in Physics Education: Discusses models, strategies, approaches, learning technologies, and innovative media.
  2. Development of Physics Teaching Materials: Includes scientific or contextual-based teaching materials, integration of local/global issues, as well as project-based and problem-based learning.
  3. Scientific Research and Physics Experiments: Examines laboratory and field experiments, development of teaching instruments, and applied research in the fields of environment, energy, or technology.
  4. Science Education and Literacy: Focuses on science literacy, development of 21st-century skills, and student motivation and interest in understanding scientific concepts and their applications in life and the environment.
  5. Evaluation and Standardization of Physics Education: Analyzes educational policies, laboratory standardization, teaching aids, the role of counseling, and student and teacher perceptions of physics teaching methods.

  • The acquisition of Jurnal Literasi Pendidikan Fisika (JLPF) Accreditation in 2024 is SINTA 4 accredited which can be accessed by the official document through the following link: document
  • Addition of new templates in JLPF by using 2 languages, namely Indonesian and English.
  • Starting in 2025, the Article Processing Charge (APC) for JLPF will be adjusted to IDR 250,000 after the manuscript is accepted.
