AI Disclosure Policy

Yupa: Historical Studies Journal acknowledges that authors may use generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools and AI-assisted technologies in a limited and responsible manner during manuscript preparation.

The use of AI tools must comply with academic integrity, publication ethics, transparency principles, and scholarly responsibility.

Permitted Use of AI Tools

Authors may use AI-assisted technologies for limited purposes such as:

  • language improvement and grammar checking,
  • translation assistance,
  • formatting support,
  • reference organization,
  • data coding assistance, or
  • technical editing support.

Prohibited Use of AI Tools

AI tools must not be used to:

  • generate fabricated data, sources, citations, interviews, or historical evidence,
  • create misleading interpretations or falsified academic content,
  • replace critical scholarly analysis and author responsibility,
  • serve as an author or co-author of the manuscript.

Disclosure Requirement

Authors must disclose any substantial use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process. The disclosure should be placed in the Acknowledgement section or in a separate disclosure statement before the References section.

Example disclosure:

Portions of this manuscript were assisted by AI-based tools for language editing and grammar improvement. The authors reviewed and verified all content and remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript, including the accuracy of data, citations, interpretations, arguments, and ethical compliance. The use of AI tools does not reduce author accountability.

Editorial Rights

The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that violate ethical standards related to AI usage, including undisclosed AI-generated content, fabricated references, or misleading scholarly material.
