Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies (e-ISSN 2622-6022) is an open-access journal, published twice a year in April and October, managed by the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mulawarman. Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies accepts research articles related to language, literature, and language and literature education, whose data are from the local languages in Indonesia, Indonesian languages, and foreign languages.

About the Journal

Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies is an open-access journal published twice a year (April and October) by the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mulawarman. This journal accepts research articles related to language, literature, and language and literature education, with research data derived from local languages in Indonesia, the Indonesian language, and foreign languages.

Reviewer Qualifications

We are seeking reviewers who meet the following qualifications:
• Hold at least a Master’s/Magister degree (M.Pd./M.A./M.Ed./M.Sc.) in the fields of language, literature, or language and literature education.
• Have relevant scientific publications in their field.
• Have experience in reviewing scholarly articles (preferred).
• Are committed to conducting objective, professional, and timely reviews.

This issue of Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies presents a diverse range of research focusing on innovation in language education, psycholinguistics, digital identity, and critical thinking development. The first article discusses the implementation of differentiated learning through interactive media to enhance students’ learning motivation, emphasizing adaptive and student-centered instruction. The second article examines code-switching as a representation of adolescent identity on social media, offering insights into social psycholinguistics and digital communication behavior. The third article investigates the use of Word Square as a learning medium to improve students’ reading interest, demonstrating its effectiveness in fostering engagement. The fourth article explores gender performativity in language features through the character Nimona, analyzed pragmatically based on Judith Butler’s theory. Lastly, the fifth article introduces the development of an AI Gemini-based language learning model aimed at enhancing students’ critical thinking skills, contributing to the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education. Together, these studies reflect the journal’s commitment to advancing interdisciplinary perspectives in linguistics, literature, and language pedagogy.
