Focus and Scope

JSEL is devoted to full-length research or review of literature papers in both science disciplines and science education at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels. The editors welcome manuscripts in the following areas of research:

  • Innovative Practices in Science Education: Explores innovative models, strategies, learning technologies, and innovative instructional media in science teaching.
  • Science Teaching Materials and Sustainability (SDGs): Focuses on the development of science learning resources aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Scientific Research and Review in Science: Examines laboratory and field experiments, as well as review studies, in integrated science, physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
  • Scientific Literacy and 21st-Century Skills: Focuses on scientific literacy and the development of 21st-century skills, as well as student motivation and interest in understanding scientific concepts and their applications.
  • Assessment, Policy, and Standards in Science Education: Analyzes educational policies, laboratory standardization, and the development of assessment in science education.
