Abstract

Kebijakan dan program CSR mulai diarahkan pada keanekaragaman hayati—variabilitas di antara organisme hidup di planet ini seperti spesies, ekosistem, dan keragaman genetik—dan pengelolaan konservasi. Meskipun ada kecenderungan peningkatan untuk melestarikan keanekaragaman hayati, keanekaragaman hayati dan pengelolaan konservasi masih menjadi diskusi kecil dalam CSR dan bahasa bisnis. Untungnya, di tingkat global beberapa kelompok bisnis menyadari bahwa keanekaragaman hayati dan pembangunan terkait erat, dan tekanan kegiatan pembangunan terhadap keanekaragaman hayati tidak selalu positif. Ada beberapa praktik terbaik yang bisa dijadikan pelajaran berharga bagi bisnis lain. Misalnya, di India, bersama dengan desa pesisir Maharashtra, Tata Consultancy Services, anak perusahaan Tata Group, memprakarsai 'Program Konservasi Penyu Laut' dari 2011 hingga 2014. Namun, dalam kasus Indonesia, literatur tentang CSR dan konservasi penyu relatif kurang berkembang. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, studi ini mengkaji bagaimana pihak swasta di Indonesia telah melaksanakan proyek konservasi penyu di Pantai Tobololo, Ternate, Maluku Utara.
