Faktor Keberhasilan dan Tantangan pada Program Dosen Sukarelawan Sebagai Guru di Sekolah Dasar

Pengabdian masyarakat adalah salah satu Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang memberikan peluang bagi dosen dan tenaga kependidikan untuk terlibat secara langsung dalam mendukung pendidikan di sekolah-sekolah sekitar kampus. Program dosen sukarelawan yang melibatkan dosen-dosen sebagai pengajar di sekolah dasar merupakan bentuk pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat. Program ini telah dilakukan sebagai program di Sekolah Dasar Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, memanfaatkan wawancara kepada dosen, guru, kepala sekolah, orang tua, dan peserta didik, untuk menggali berbagai dimensi dari program. Laporan ini menyampaikan tantangan-tantangan yang menghambat integrasi program tersebut, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, kesulitan dalam penyelarasan kurikulum, dan komitmen dosen relawan. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor keberhasilan yang memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan di pendidikan dasar, termasuk relawan yang bersemangat dan berdedikasi, metode pengajaran yang disesuaikan, keterlibatan masyarakat, dan lingkungan yang kolaboratif antara relawan dan manajemen sekolah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan sumber daya dan penyelarasan kurikulum masih menjadi tantangan dalam implementasi program dosen sukarelawan. Dosen relawan yang bersemangat dan berdedikasi, metode pengajaran yang fleksibel, dan kolaborasi dengan komunitas masyarakat merupakan faktor keberhasilan penting yang berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan program ini. Laporan ini mengungkap pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung dan kolaboratif di sekolah dasar, yang penting bagi keberhasilan program.
