Writing Guideline

  1. Articles have never been published in other media and do not contain the element of plagiarism, proven by a written statement from the author. Each manuscript will be checked for indication of plagiarism using Turnitin. The Editor will check the manuscript twice: when it is submitted and when it is published (after going through the review process). The tolerance limit for manuscript plagiarism is 20% at the time of submission and 15% at the time of publication. (https://jurnal.fkip.unmul.ac.id/index.php/impian/plagiarism)
  2. Articles can be written in Indonesian or English and follow the template.
  3. Articles should be prepared using Arial font, with a font size of 10 points, single-spaced, and formatted on A4-sized paper. Articles should not exceed 15 pages in length.
  4. The manuscript should be composed using a word processing application and must be saved in either DOC or DOCX format.
  5. The title must be written in 12-point Arial font, bold, centered, and with all capital characters. The translated version's title is written below the original language title in Arial font size 10pt, center-aligned, bold, with only the first letter capitalized. The title in Indonesian takes precedence over the title in English in articles published in Indonesian, but the title in English takes precedence and is followed by the title in Indonesian in articles written in English.
  6. Writing the author's identity follows the following rules: the author’s name is written in full, not abbreviated, and without the title. Writing begins with the first author, followed by the second, third, and so on; each author's origin and e-mail address correspondence are written under the author's name. If the author is more than one person with a different agency address, behind each name is given an index or Arabic number (1, 2, 3, etc.). One author represents the e-mail correspondence.
  7. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English, no more than 200 words in Arial font with 8pt size. The English abstract is written first followed by the Indonesian abstract. The abstract should contain a summary of the article: research objectives, methods, and the results of the research. Abbreviations and citations/reference sources should not be used in the abstract. The abstract is followed by keywords with a maximum of 5 words/phrases, separated by a semicolon, and does not end with a full stop. Abstracts in English must use US English style.
  8. Articles can be written in Indonesian or English. For manuscripts using Indonesian, the contents of the manuscript consist of Pendahuluan, Metode, Hasil dan Pembahasan, Penutup, Ucapan Terima Terima, dan Daftar Pustaka. For English articles, the body of the manuscript consists of Introduction, Method, Finding and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References.
  9. The introduction contains the background of the problem that explains the phenomenon to be researched with the support of recent reference sources (the last 10 years) and must include previous relevant research results (as a comparison) that have been carried out by yourself or others and explain the existence of research in this context (as the state of the art of study). The introduction also contains the research problem (preferably only one problem that is the focus of the research), which is emphasized by the research objectives. The introduction also includes the theory used to solve the problem. All sources referred to or cited must be listed in the bibliography. Introduction without using subchapter headings, maximum 20% of the entire body of the manuscript, written in Arial size 10pt space 1.
  10. The research method contains the methods used in the research and should be described clearly and in detail, including the research steps. The method section recommends not using subchapter details, a maximum of 10% of the entire body of the manuscript, written in Arial size 10pt space 1.
  11. The discussion is presented by explaining the research results in accordance with the issues raised. The discussion section can be divided into sub-subchapters. Maximum 65% of the entire body of the manuscript. If this section uses subchapters, the writing of subchapters uses Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3 etc.) and is bolded. Then, if the subchapter has subchapters, then the writing of the subchapters does not use numbering, only italics and bold print. The results and discussion section is written in Arial font size 10pt space 1.
  12. Findings and Discussion are presented by explaining the results of the research in accordance with the issues raised. The Findings and Discussion section can be divided into sub-subchapters—a maximum of 65% of the entire body of the manuscript. If the Findings and Discussion section uses subchapters, the writing of the subchapters uses Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) and is bolded. Then, if the subchapter has subchapters, the writing of the subchapters does not use numbering, only italics and bold print. The Findings and Discussion section is in Arial font size 10pt space 1.
  13. The Conclusion contains conclusions that answer the problems and research objectives in the Introduction section (suggestions and recommendations can be added - not required). Write the Conclusion section using paragraphs and no numbering details. The Conclusion section is a maximum of 5% of the entire body of the manuscript, written in Arial font size 10pt space 1.
  14. This acknowledgment only expresses thanks to those who have helped with the research implementation financially / provided official research funding support from the institution. Please do not include this acknowledgment to parties other than the financial aid provider. This section is written in Arial font size 10pt space 1.
  15. All sources referred to or cited in the manuscript must be listed in the references. Conversely, all sources in the bibliography must be referred to in the manuscript. The minimum number of sources is 15, with the provision that at least 80% are primary sources and come from research results, ideas, theories, or concepts published in print and electronic journals. The references referred to are the results of publications in the last 10 years, except for classic references used as historical studies. The references must use Mendeley and follow the provisions of the APA 7th edition reference writing system. The references are written in Arial font size 10pt space 1.
  16. The table/picture/graph title is arranged using Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3 dst), written in Arial size 10pt space 1. The table title is placed on top of the table on the left. The table is an example in this template with Arial type size 8pt space 1 (single space). Any tables and pictures/graphs listed in the mandatory manuscript are described or mentioned in paragraphs. Source writing tables and images follow the example writing in this template. Note: The article's pictures must be clear/not blurry; if using a graph, the screenshot result is not allowed, and you must use the chart insert in the Ms. Word menu.
