https://jurnal.fkip.unmul.ac.id/index.php/yupa/article/view/1593

This study aims to determine the history of the Saoraja Kingdom of Sawitto, the use of the local site of the Saoraja Sawitto Traditional House as a source of historical learning, supporting and inhibiting factors of the local site of the Saoraja Sawitto Traditional House as a source of historical learning. The research method used is the historical method with 4 steps: Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the Saoraja Sawitto traditional house is the palace house of the Sawitto Kingdom which was previously made of wood. But, during the colonial era, there was a change in the building structure which then changed shape into a stone house. With the presence of the local historical site Saoraja Sawitto, students become active and enjoy learning, thus facilitating the teaching and learning process, especially in history subjects. One of them supporting factors for the use of this house are the enthusiasm of the students, and one of the inhibiting factors is the lack of literature regarding the Saoraja Sawitto traditional house.
Achmad Idrus Al IslamiAndi AgustangMuhammad Syukur

https://jurnal.fkip.unmul.ac.id/index.php/yupa/article/view/2101

This article discusses the role of Islamic Community Organizations in the history of the development of Islam in South Sulawesi from 1905-1998. The writing method used is the historical method which includes Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Islamic Community Organizations (Ormas) were triggered by the drive due to the growth of patriotic and nationalistic behaviour which at the same time became a response to the problems that occurred among the Indonesian people at the end of the 19th century. The development of Islamic Community Organizations in South Sulawesi has had a positive impact based on historical facts starting from trade contacts to the spread of Islam in South Sulawesi in 1605 during the reign of King Tallo, namely Sultan Alauddin. Organizations based on Islamic values that exist in Indonesia, especially in South Sulawesi, historically consist of Sarekat Islam, Nadhatul Ulama, and Muhammadiyah.
Khaeruddin Khaeruddin

https://jurnal.fkip.unmul.ac.id/index.php/yupa/article/view/3297

This article aims to analyze the needs to develop history of Islamic culture teaching materials in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) study program based on learning independence. The research was carried out using descriptive and qualitative methods. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires and in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and analyzed using interactive models. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the teaching materials used in Islamic History and Culture Madrasah Ibtidaiyah lectures were teaching materials that were not written by lecturers and were considered unable to increase student interest, motivation, and independence in learning. Both lecturers and students agree to develop teaching materials related to learning independence. In addition, the teaching materials to be developed are expected to focus on the material in the curriculum, which covers four main topics: 1) The condition of Arab society before Islam; 2) History of Prophet Muhammad, Da'wah, and personality of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); 3) The event of the Prophet Muhammad's Hijra to Medina and the event of Fathul Mecca; 4) Civilization at the time of Khulafausrrasyidin. Another result of this study is that the Islamic History and Culture Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teaching materials to be developed should refer to the principles of teaching material development, especially teaching materials with instructions for use and materials that follow the lecture syllabus.
Maryam MaryamRohimin RohiminAlfauzan AminSyamsul RizalBety Bety

https://jurnal.fkip.unmul.ac.id/index.php/yupa/article/view/1522

Hijab is a form of identity for Muslim women. Muslim women are required to cover their nakedness from head to toe except for the face, palms and soles of the feet. The ban on wearing the head scarf in public schools was considered an act of Islamic activism and religious primordialism by the New Order government. Hijab is an Arabic term which means loose clothing that covers the genitals from the shoulders to the feet, so it doesn't form curves. The use of headcarves for female students in public schools stems from the influence of the ITB Salaman Mosque da'wah movement and the PII (Indonesian Islamic Students) organization. The Iranian revolution of 1979 has increased the enthusiasm of santri and Islamic values, including the widespread use of the head scarf among young women. The prohibition and discrimination of wearing the head scarf during the New Order led to a polemic for religious organizations. Therefore, this article will examine the relationship between Muslim organizations and the New Order government and discrimination in the use of the head scarf in educational institutions during the New Order. To answer this problem, the writing of the article will use a descriptive analysis approach and data collection by conducting a literature search.
Azista Difanaya Khoirunisa Zaeni
